Greenhouse effect is the naturally occurring process in which the infrared radiation released by the Earth’s atmosphere increases the temperature on the planet’s surface. Named accordingly, the greenhouse effect is a similar phenomenon as the warming of air inside an actual greenhouse at a nursery. Essentially, the Earth’s atmosphere traps radiation near the surface of the earth which ultimately warms the air.
