Internal Combustion Engine

The internal combustion engine generates energy through the combustion of fuel by adding oxygen, pressure and igniting in a confined space typically known as cylinder or combustion chamber.  This process creates an explosion, in which a high amount of energy is released.  The release of energy drives a piston and creates movement in the engine.  Ultimately this movement is translated into forward motion in an automobile.
